The lowest training and educational level required for these jobs are usually a high school diploma or any available equivalent, even though some nursing homes and health facilities are not strictly required to have a high school diploma. Some of the specific qualifications may vary depending on the occupations, current laws in place, and also the work type. Training for Medical Assistant careers of this kind is offered in many high schools and some community colleges, nursing homes, and also in some vocational centers. The Federal government has certain restrictions for health industry workers and requires them to pass a special test on skill competency. According the Bureau of Labor Statistics data, Medical Assistant Jobs are expected to grow much faster compared to the national average for all other types of occupations between 2006 and 2016. The main reason for this is the increasing elderly people number and growing admissions among hospitals, nursing homes and other care facilities. Residential care facilities are usually a better choice for employment than hospitals.
